About Our

BROTHERHOOD

OUR EVOLUTION

Fraternity founders sat at a table with ZBT letters in the background.

Since 1954, ZBT has been committed to non-sectarian brotherhood and welcomes all men of good character, regardless of religion, race or creed who are accepting of the principles within our credo: Intellectual Awareness, Social Responsibility, Integrity and Brotherly Love.

In 1989, ZBT became the first fraternity to abolish pledging. We remain proud of our commitment to a brotherhood built on equality in which all brothers share equal rights and responsibilities from the beginning.

Phi Alpha Alpha is very proud of our heritage as both a founding chapter and ZBT chapter. Our brotherhood has occupied numerous chapter houses throughout our time at GW. Today, we reside at 603 22nd St NW.
